Book-review １－８ A Little Princess

　　　I read " A LITTLE　PRINCESS ". This heroine is " Sara Crewe". She is seven years old, and she has long black hair and green eyes. She came to London with her father. They are from India. They came to London for her school. Her school she is going is Miss Minchin's School. This owner is Miss Minchin. She is a tall woman. Sara's mother was dead, she was French. So Sara can speak French well.　She soon made new friends in the school. She was very good at telling stories. She was a clever child, and the other girls loved to listen to her.The stories were all about kings and queens and princesses and wonderful countries across the sea. Her best friend is " Ermengarde". She also likes listening to her story. Ermengrade is not clever, she could never remember any of her school lessons.
The older girl is " Lavinia" in this school. Before Sara came, Lavinia was the richest and most important girl in the school. But Sara's father was rocher than Lavinia's father. So now Sara was more important than Lavinia, and Lavinia did not like that. She envies Sara.
Sara has other friend, she is Becky. She was a servant in Miss Minchin's school, and she was only fourteen years old. She worked all day and sometimes half the night. She and Sara had very different lives. Normaly rich girl and servants girls were not friends, but Sara and Becky were good friend. Becky was always hungry, then Sara often bought things for her to eat.
When Sara has her eleventh girthday party with her classmate, A lawyer came to this school.And he said," Mr Crewe has no money, there are no diamond mines. And Mr Crewe's good friend ran away with all Mr Crewe's money. Mr Crewe was ill with a fever, A week later he was dead. Sara has no money because of her father's dead. She became a servant. She had to live little attic room. The next morning Sara's new life began. She worked every day, from early in the morning to late at night.Her new life were very hard. She was always tired and hungry, but she never cried.
There was one Indian gentleman, his name is Mr Carrisford. He is looking for one girl. He was Mr Crewe's friend. He ran away with Mr Crewe's all money. Then he want to find his daughter, and he want to take care of her. He lived next to door of Sara. Winter came , there were no fires for servant girls, Sara could not sleep because of the cold.She is thin and hungry. Because Miss Minchin was very strict, then Sara could not have enough to eat.
One day night it happened magic. She sleep with tired and hungry, she opened her eyes. She found the room is different. There was a wonderful hot fire. There were new, warm blankets on her bed, and beautiful pictures on the walls. There were cups and plates, hot tea, and hot meat pies , sandwiches, cake, oranges, apples. First she thought this is dream. But this was true. Becky and Sara ate too much. There were some books on the table. It was written " To the little girl in the attic. From a friend ". The magic dod not go away. Every evening, when Sara went up to bed, she found new things in the attic for her and forb Becky. They had a wonderful hot dinner everyday from kind and wonderful friend. But they didn't know who is it. Mr Carrisford was looking for Sara for two years. But he could not find her. He didn't know she lives next building. Last night the monkey came in Sara's room. Then he came to see Sara to take the monkey in the house. Sara and Mr Carrisford began to talk. Sara said she was born in India. She said her father dead in India two years ago. His friend ran away to take his all money. Mr Carrisford asked what is your fathers name ? Sara said " Ralph Crewe ". Mr Carrisford finally got the girl. Sara began to live Mr Carrisford's house next to the school with Becky. Sara became a princess again.

Book-review １－７ The coldest place on earth

I have read the book of " The coldest place on earth ". The is the story that who can go to the South pole first. The race began in the summer of 1910. Two men were trying to go the South pole. One of the men is Captain Robert Falcon Scott. He was forty-one years old and he had friend that named Titus Oates. His ship's name was " Terra Nova ". And other man was " Roald Amundsen".He had friend that named " Olav Bjaaland ". First he wanted to go to Artic. But he changed his mind on the way to Arctic. Because last year Peary, an American , found the North Pole.
On October 27th, Terra Nova arrived in Wellington, New Zealand. On day a newspaperman gave him a newspaper. The newspaper was written the article of the race. Roald Amundsen had eight men, and ninty-nine dogs. On the other side, Terra Nova had sixteen men and the new moter sledges and nineteen ponies. The two ships, Terra Nova and Fram, arrived in Antarctica, in January 1911, at the end of summer. After arrived in Antarctica, Roald Amundsen put a big wooden house on the ice. The house was full of food, and skies, and sledges. They called it Framheim. Before the winter, they wanted to take a lot of food south, and leave it in depots. For the long journey to the Pole, they needed a lot of food. In this time the temperature was sometimes -40°Centigrade.
Oates went with Scott to make the first British depot. There were thirteen men, eight ponies, and twenty-six dogs. There were very strong wind,and -20°Centigrade. After eightten days, two of the ponies were dead. It was dark for four month in Antarctica, and it was often -60°It was very very cold. The Norwegians arrived the Pole faster than Scot. After three days Scott arrived the pole. When they were going back to Cape Evans, they didn't have much food and thier clothes were not warm. The temperature was -40°centigrade. They were very tired. After all they didn't come back to Cape Evans. On October 26th 1912, The Englishmen started for the south to find them. Two weeks later, they found a tent. There were three bodies in the tent, Scott, Wilson, and Bowers. There was some letters and diaries. In Scott's diary it was written that " Oates died like a good Englishmn. We all did. Please, remembers us, and loof after our families. We did our best ".( 433 words )

Book-review 1ー6 MATTY DOOLIN

I read MATTY DOOLIN. I decided to read this book reason why young boy think about his job after leaving school. This helo is Doolin. He is fifteen years old. He have to decide job before leave school. He loves animals very much. Then he want do the job with animals. But his parents opposed his plain. One day in summer his friends and he planed to go camping. His parents opposed this plan too. One day the dog that he is having had traffic accident, then the dog died. For this reason Willie, Joe and Matty went to camping in summer vacation. This is the Mr. Walsh farm where they has camping. City and countryside is very different. There are fresh air, nice water, good food, and beautiful star. It is very different of city life. They helped to Mr. Walsh job. They cleaned cow shed,care of cows. Several days they pleased to do that. But after one week his friends bore this life. Because this life were boring for them. I think city life is comfortable too. Countryside's life is boring.
Mr.Walsh has wife, daughter, and two dogs. One day Mr.Walsh went to town with two young boys.Mrs. Walsh went to the hospital because her brother was ill. There were his daughter Jessica and Matty at farm. Matty got into a quarrel with Jessica. She ran away the mountain behind the farm. Suddenly weather got bad. It was heavy storm and mist. Matty went to looking for Jessica with dog. But it is difficult to find her for wet mist. He had lost the way.
He heard bark of dogs somewhere. The dog could find Jessica. The dog had hurt. Jessica and Matty waited for help. They felt very cold. They lost consciousness. When he next woke up, he was lying a bed on next morning. Jessica was also fine. Matty became famous person. After that he began to work at the farm.(325words)

I have read the book of "LOVE or MONEY. This is the story that it will happen in the world. This is the story about money of family. This heroine is Molly. She is fifty years old. She is a rich moman and she three children. they wanted to have money. Also her relative need money. Her neighbor want to have her land. Many people need her money. Someday they gathered her house. They tolked with her about money. But she got angry, she went to bed. Next morning she was died. She was killed by someone. Inspector began to look for the criminal. One of them is the criminal. He asked all person about what they did last night. Everybody wanted to kill her because of her money. They needed money.
The person killed her was her daughter, Jackie. She had a boyfriend. She wanted to get married with him. But her mother didn't say "yes". Because the boyfriend was poor. She wanted to get married to him, but she can't. She need money too. Then she thought to kill her mother, Molly. She put the medicine in the cup of milk. And she killed her mother. She chose her goyfriend and money. Other people got much money, and became rich. But they became to be happy? What is important in your life, love or money?(227words)

Book- review 1--4 Pocahontas

For book review, I read ‘ Pocahontas ’. This is the story that English people went to America in 1600 age, and Indian woman and English man got married. Also this is a love story. In 1607 about 150 men went to America by ship. Off course, Indian lived in there. First, English men tried to make corn for them, but it was not so easy. They were very tired for four month living on ship, and it was very hot in summer in America. Then many people died. The chiefs tried to contact Indians for thier food. Indian have many food to live winter. But English men didn't have food. At first, they are good frinds, but they began to opposed about food, guns. One of the chief is John Smith. He met a Indian woman. She was a daughter of King. She loved him very much. But he didn't love her, perhaps he might love her. After several years, he went back to England for ill. He didn't say anything to her. And he never come back to America. She was heard somebody that he might die. Then she got married other man in America. She was the first woman got married to English men.
They went back to England to meet King and Queen. And she was heard John Smith still alive. She meet him, and she said, I still love you. But she has children and husband. They didn't love each other. On the way to go back America, she died for ill on the ship. It was 1617. This is a story an Indian woman loved a English man.(274words)

Book-review 1ー3 THE-PIANO

　　　I have read book is named THE PIANO for third book.　The is the story that there is a poor boy in village. Normaly, in those day after 12 years they had to work at factory or company. He also began to work as his friends had done. In his case he chose workiong at farm. Because, he didn't work at factory. And he started new life at farm.
On summer vacation, there are 3person include him at farm. At shad they found older piano. As they threw the piano, he really wanted to have it. And he could find where he put it safety: That is the school near the farm. Even on summer vacation, the door of the school is open. Everyday he played the piano by alone.
One day teacher found the boy is playing the piano. And the teacher got one genius. The boy
was really genius in his 40 th teacher's life. He began to teach the boy piano lesson. He won the competition in village. He went to music of collage, he became a famous piano plyer in the world.
Sometime genius appeared suddenly. After I finished to read it. I remembered Ichiro of baseball player. Maybe these person have talent, but it need to effort. If they don't have effort, they won't became a genius. We don't know what we have. And we need to meet the person that chang our life.(239words)

Book Review 1-2 Robinson Crusoe

For second book review, I choose Robinson Crusoe. Because the book made me exited. I know that, but I have almost forgotten about story. When I handed that book, I couldn`t remember clearly.
This helo was interested in sailor. He is a British. One day, He got chance to go Brazil. But on the way Brazil, he met pirates on the ocean. Then, he was been slave for many years in Morroco. One day he could left from the master, and on the way to leave, he was helped by a ship. After that, he stayed in Brazil for many years; he became rich for working hard.
Some day he tried to go to Africa with frinds for earn money. But, unfortunaly, the ship was wrecked for the terrible storm. he could alive, but he we was alone in the island where nobody live there for twenty seven years. he made his own house, he cought his own food. Anything he had to do by himself for over twenty years.
In this convenient society, do you imagine? If we have to live uninhabited island for many years. what should we do? there is no convinent, no Karaoke, no supermarket, no theater,there is all nothing, off course, we are alone. we are lucky not to study. but we feel big solitude and we have to get my food.
When I lived in Austlalia, I felt solitude. When I felt solitude, I remembered my family, my friends. and I wrote letter then. I found how my family and my friends was important. I guess he also remembered his family and his friends.
Lucky, he could went back England, and he stayed in England. After several years ago, he went to abroad on ship. For him, life may journey.( 296 words )

Book review 1--1 The Black Tulip

The Black Tulip


I choose this book first because I had heard Black tulip was very inportant tulip in those days in Netherlands. People said if someone had Black tulip, they became very rich man. Even they could build big house.
After I finished to read this book, my impression was that this book was love story. Any age people had love. Even long time ago, men and women loved. And there were love story

In this story, Cornelius Van Baerle is main character, his job was making tulips. He try to make black tulip. In those day, nodoby made black tulip,then if somebody made black tulip,they got 100000 guilders. It must be huge sum of money. He had rival who named Isaac Boxtel lived near his house. In this connection, Cornelius was middle of 20th and Isaac was over 50t

At one time he made black tulip but unfortunally he was arrest for treason. He had to live in the jail for long time. He took black tulip with him.

By the way, Isaac was looking his behavior with his telescope. Actualy, Isaac urged him to put in jail with useing dirty tricks. Isaac found where he had black tulip.
Cornelius tried to grow black tulilp in the jail. Isaac was thinking how he steal the tulip.

One day Cornelius met beautiful young girl in the jail. She was daughter of jailer. Little by little they loved each other. And Cornelius gave one black tulip in three them to her. Because he loved very much and he thought it was safety for tulip

Unfortunally, her father broke one of his tulip,Cornelius had given rest of tulip to her.
She favorablely grew tulip. And finally she succed to grow up black tulip. They were very happy.

But Isaac was watching this black tulip, then he stole the tulip in her room. He immediately took the black tulip with him to prove that he had glack tulip,and he get big money

Cornelius and the daughter were so sad. but finally she decided to meet Prince William to prove she had black tulip. She went to meet Prince William, she talk truth story. At last, as she has third tulip, she could proved she had black tulip. After that Cornelius was proved not to traitor.

I think we have good person and bad person any age. Bad person always exit, even anywhere,any country. But we have also good person too. If I were Isaac, I will praise Cornelius.
